About Randy's Birthday Concert
Randy's Birthday Wish
Randy envisioned celebrating his 70th birthday as a meaningful opportunity to bring together a Gathering of important people in our lives. We wanted to create a way to comfortably connect, share some of his music via a casual Variety Show of sorts, and include some lighthearted games with prizes. We'll then wrap the evening up with an after-show dessert reception.
You may know Randy has been writing and singing his unique thought-provoking original music for several decades. In years past he's had more regular opportunities to sing and sometimes minister live in various modest settings. However, it has been a while since Randy's enjoyed connecting with a live audience.
Over the years his collection of original songs has continued to grow. It would be a true honor to share some of them with you in a casual, lighthearted, celebratory setting.
Fortunately for us, our hometown of Yorba Linda (Y.L.) has recently completed a compact, intimate Cultural Arts Center campus. Onsite there is a 180-seat live performance theatre called THE VIRGINIA DE LAND THEATRE with a large open stage area for Randy to perform and for our Gathering to have fun on. Equipped with professional lighting, a sound booth, and full media presentation capabilities, we'll be utilizing it all! Plus, there is a perfect after-show reception room right down the hall.
Although the evening is October 31st, it is not related to the Halloween holiday. This just happened to be the last Saturday in 2026 available to book the theatre. We said, "Perfect."
Hopefully you will see this as a nice alternative for the adults to have an amusing night out.

Pre-Event Dining
At Your Leisure - minutes away!
There's lots of casual dining in any 3 min. direction from the live theatre if you'd like to eat nearby, ahead of Halloween traffic.
Our venue sits directly across the street from the newer Yorba Linda Town Center and its many casual dining choices.
Theatre Doors Open:
7:00 PM - 7:25 PM
Virigina De Land Theatre is on the small campus of the Y.L Cultural Arts Center, shared with the Y.L. Library
THE LIVE THEATRE DOORS WILL OPEN AT 7:00p. Those doors CLOSE at 7:25p to start the Program at 7:30p.
We'd like to have everyone seated by 7:15p.

PARKING IS ABUNDANT: The Library & Cultural Arts Center share a main lot.
Dessert Reception
After Glow: 9:15 PM - 10:45 PM
The Program will end around 9:00p, followed by a dessert reception down the hall until10:45p.
Note: We must entirely vacate the building before 11:00p, but the public patio outside is open for visiting afterwards!
